The Rev. Dr. Richard Young, Head of Staff

The Rev. Dr. Richard Young has served as Head of Staff at OPPC since 2002. As Head of Staff, Dick oversees the administration, operation and spiritual direction of the church. Dick, his wife Colleen, and their three children moved to Orchard Park from the Pittsburgh area, where he had served two churches during the previous 12 years. Dick holds a BS in Geography from the Pennsylvania State University, a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Rev. Allyn Foster joined the staff as a part-time Pastoral Assistant in January 2001, after retiring as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. Allyn's primary responsibilities at OPPC include pastoral care, visitation and maintaining contact with all members, in particular those in nursing homes or confined to their homes. He serves as pastor-in-charge in the absence of Rev. Young and is called on to occasionally lead worship and preach. He is the primary administrative contact to the Board of Deacons.

Rev. Gordon Foster has served OPPC as Parish Associate for four years. He previously served as the Interim Pastoral Assistant from 1996 to 1999. As Parish Associate, Gordon's primary responsibility is working with the Stephen Ministers as a Stephen Ministry Leader. He is also available to fill in with adult education classes and preach. Gordon leads monthly worship services at Orchard Heights Retirement Home.

Debbie joined the staff in 2007as Office Manager. She has a B.A. in
Business Administration and has over 7 years' experience in Administration and Human Resources. Debbie has extensive accounting experience and will serve as staff liaison to the Administration and Finance Ministry Team. She currently works Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. |

Christine has been with OPPC for over 20 years, beginning in July 1986. Her responsibilities include supervising all accounting procedures, maintaining all personnel records, and budgeting. She also works with and maintains records for the annual steward-ship campaign. She supervises the church office operations and works closely with the Property Ministry Team and custodial staff. As part of her responsibilities in supervising the business affairs of the church.

Linda Babcock, Director Education and Mission
|
Linda has served OPPC for several years, joining the staff in February 1995. In her position, Linda has a two-fold role: She plans, implements and coordinates all educational programs for children, youth and young adults. In addition, she coordinates the Senior High work camp and Confirmation classes and serves as the Administrator of the Child Protection Policy. As staff liaison to the Mission Ministry Team, she works with the team in creating new mission frontiers and keeping current ones in the forefront of the congregation. She also has oversight of the library and other resources for the mission and education of the church.
Lisa Breth, Director Adult Education
Lisa is a member of the church and joined the staff in 2007. She coordinates the Adult Education programs of our church, including Sunday morning classes, Lenten Bible Study and the Fall Supper Series, coordinates the Covenant Groups and is the staff liaison to the Christian Education Ministry Team. Lisa considers working in Christian Education to be a gift and a pleasure. She brings a great deal of experience in the area and is a vlued member of the church staff. |

Istvan is responsible for overseeing the development, progress and tasks of the music ministry of OPPC. In that role, he plans and directs and, in some cases, composes the music involving all choirs and instrumentalists for both the traditional and contemporary services. He is also responsible for the music for all special services. He serves as staff liaison with the Worship Ministry Team, working with them to assure a beautiful and uplifting worship experience. Istvan joined the staff in April 2004.

Aimee has been a member of the staff for 15+ years, joining in April 1992. Along with answering and directing calls to the church office, her responsibilities include preparing and printing the bulletin each week for both services; working with accounts payable; and recording financial contributions. Aimee has responsibility for facility use and property issues and serves as staff liaison to the Property Ministry Team. In addition, Aimee maintains our computerized membership files and manages the church master calendar. She coordinates facility use and does general office work.

Deb joined the staff in December 2004 and works part-time. She assists in answering and directing calls to the church office. Her other responsibilities include compiling, printing and mailing of the church newsletter; creating the PowerPoint presentation for the Contemporary Worship Service; compiling Session minutes; ordering supplies; maintaining the Weekly Flower Calendar; coordinating Christmas and Easter Flower orders; and general office work.

Daniel Golebiewski, Custodian
|
|
Dan has served OPPC for 18 years, beginning in May 1990. He is responsible for the maintenance of all buildings and grounds and for the security of the premises. He performs minor repairs, prepares rooms for the many groups, inside and outside OPPC, who use our facilities. Dan also assists at weddings and memorial services.
