Films to Talk About
The last Friday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
Cinema Paradiso - Friday July 30
Rated PG-13
The Oscar-winning Italian film, Cinema Paradiso will be shown on Friday, July 30th. Told largely in flashback, this delightful movie is the story of a successful film director’s return to his native Sicilian village for the funeral of an old friend, the cinema projectionist, Alfredo. The PG-13 rated film explores the issues of youth, coming of age and reflections about the past from an adult perspective.
Open to the public, “Films to Talk About” offers a unique experience of watching a movie and then discussing it with others, exploring interpretation and meaning through the medium of film. For more information, call the church office at 662.9348. No reservations are required to attend.

Back for a 3rd Session this Fall
FPU is a biblically based, 13 week accountability course that trains congregations and the community to manage their resources. Dave Ramsey, via DVD presents each lesson, followed by small group discussion that will be led by member, Deb Galloway. Each participant/family unit is required to purchase a FPU membership kit ($79.95 + delivery), which includes the workbook, forms, and all 13 weeks of Dave Ramsey’s class on CD’s. In addition to this is a lifetime membership that allows the
students to attend any FPU class to review or refocus your financial plan.
Classes will meet on selected
Mondays and Tuesdays
7:00—9:00 p.m.
September 20—December 13.
A FREE Class preview will be offered early in September. Sunday, September 12 will be the last day to sign up for the class.

We are raising extra money by participating in the Abitibi Paper Retriever program.
Accepted items include: newspaper, magazines, shopping catalogues, office/school papers, and envelopes.
Items not accepted include: cardboard, cereal/soda cartons, food wrappers/containers, and phone books.
Bring your papers with you on Sundays
(or any time you are driving by).
Drop them off in the new green/yellow bin
in the parking lot!
The more paper we recycle the more money we receive to use for our missions and programs.
