Mother's Day Out is now in its 23rd year and continues to operate as a cooperative childcare program in service to the Western New York community. MDO now operates five mornings a week, providing quality care for children one to four years of age.
MDO currently has over 70 families participating in the program and continues to have an extensive waiting list. The teachers are Lynda Somerville, now in her 20th year, and Karen Szopinski, in her seventh year. Together they provide a team approach to the children's well-being and education.
Mother's Day Out has a very active and supportive Board of Directors, whose volunteer efforts have allowed the organization to grow.
