Our $2.2 Million Capital Campaign is now underway to
make the much-needed improvements to our church. Construction is scheduled to start in the Spring of 2008 with a targeted completion by the end of the year.
For many years, Orchard Park Presbyterian Church has been a source of spiritual strength and mission outreach in our community and beyond. Our doors are always open to anyone in need - whether that need is physical, emotional or spiritual. As current stewards of OPPC, it is our responsibility to ensure that our church continues to serve God and others. We ask that you prayerfully consider supporting this effort at whatever level you are able. All pledges are important, regardless of the amount, and can be paid out over a 3-5 year period.
This is an energizing time in the life of our congregation. We encourage you to participate in this exciting campaign and leave your legacy for generations to come. For more information on how to submit your pledge, call the church office at 716-662-9348 or email info@oppchurch.org.

THE TIME IS NOW
Here's what long-time, fellow OPPC members are saying about the plans for improvement:
"Our capital campaign will improve our accessability, both to the handi-capped and those who don't like to take a long walk through the snow from our large parking lot."
"There's no easy way to get people with special needs into the building, so we have to upgrade the facility."
"We've always felt safe here, but we could be safer."
"For 54 years I've been an adult member. Prior to that I went to Sunday school in this very building, and there still is not a sprinkler system in it, which is horrendous. I wasn't thinking about sprinkler systems, but I'm very aware now because my grandchildren are upstairs on Sundays."
"We need to give our staff the proper work environment and the tools to do their job. We need to move forward so that everyone can be better in their work and more far-reaching in the effort."
"The office as it exists - I've been in there trying to fix things and some things just can't be fixed anymore and it really does need attention. It's not really an adequate space."
"We've been so blessed at this church. We seem to be getting better and better in our music programs. I think the music program here is just phenomenal. It has always been a big part of our Sunday service."
"Istvan is a wonderful talent and a wonderful gift and he brings the choir members together who are all part of the congregation and sing because they want to. The music is an important part and we are proud of the job Istvan and his people are doing."
"The leadership of Rev. Young is critical to both our church's growth and the activities."
"Even though other churches are losing members, our church is gaining members. And that's due 100% to leadership, and we've got it!"
"I think we have great leadership and it's definitely heading in the right direction. And I think the building of this facility is the right thing to do at this time. I think it sets us up properly for the 21st century." |
