PRAYER PARTNER MINISTRY – OPPC Stephen Ministry is facilitating a time of private conversation and prayer on Sunday mornings for those who would like to avail themselves of this opportunity. Located at the front of the sanctuary following worship will be a Stephen Minister (seated to the right of the communion table) who will hear concerns and offer prayer. If an individual desires a more private setting, the room behind the sanctuary will be available for this purpose. In this effort we are encouraged by Jesus own words, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” You are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity as situations and circumstances arise in your life for which special prayer would be appreciated.
THE 3/10 HOSPITALITY RULE – The Membership Ministry Team would like to invite you to participate in our initiative to help ensure a warm welcome and personal touch for each person who attends worship. It’s called the 3/10 Hospitality Rule and it asks you to do the following: For the first 3 minutes after the service ends, look around within a 10 foot radius and introduce yourself and start a conversation with someone you don’t know. If everyone did this each week, no visitor or long-time members would ever leave without being greeted! What a wonderful way to get to know each other, greet visitors, and experience OPPC as a warm and welcoming place to worship.
