Baby & Toddler Care
Childcare for infants through three-year-olds is offered on Sunday mornings from 9:15 - 11:45 a.m. during the program year, and 9:15 - 10:45 during July and August. We have a staff care-giver, as well as volunteers in our nursery. Everyone who works with children and youth are trained and screened in accordance with our Child Protection Policy.
Sunday Morning Education Classes for children and youth on Sunday mornings have a relationship based emphasis. We use a Reformed Faith, Biblically based curriculum from our denomination called Feasting on the Word, which has a strong emphasis on both teaching the Bible stories and engaging the children and youth in seeing themselves in the story as well as finding ways to live out the stories. We strive for an interactive atmosphere in which the children and youth know that they are beloved children of God. We also use hands on mission projects to engage the children and their families in a response to God's love by taking action in local, national, and international mission projects.
There are age appropriate classes for three groups of children - Four year olds through Second Grade; Third through Fifth Grade and a Middle School Class. High School age youth are invited to attend Adult Education classes, hang out in the JahVa Spot or if they have expressed an interest and willingness to volunteer; they may be engaged in leadership roles in classes on Sunday morning or in the nursery.
